DIY - Baby Scented Water
Making your own cosmetics at home is far simpler than you might think. And above all, it's the best way to be completely certain about what goes into our products and skincare.
Today, we're sharing a cologne recipe for little ones — alcohol-free, with a wonderfully gentle apricot and orange blossom scent. We drew heavily on this scented water recipe, which is 100% natural in origin. The key difference from the original recipe is that we chose to leave out the milky softness fragrance. Our scented water therefore has a slightly different smell from the original.

How to make your baby scented water
Before you start making your baby scented water
First of all, you need to clean your work surface and sterilise your equipment. This is a step not to be overlooked — skipping it could shorten the shelf life of your baby scented water. To begin, tie your hair back if needed and wash your hands. Clean your work surface, then disinfect it with 90° alcohol. Next, submerge your metal and glass utensils in a pan of boiling water for around ten minutes. Wipe plastic items with 90° alcohol using a tissue. Finally, leave everything to dry on a clean tea towel.
DIY baby scented water
First of all, transfer the dispersant into a bowl. Solubol dispersant is an alcohol-free dispersant that is very gentle on the skin.

Then add the fragrance and mix with the small whisk. We chose the natural Douceur d'ange fragrance, which has that gorgeous baby scent.

Next, add the orange blossom hydrosol.

Add the mineral water.

Then the drops of natural apricot aromatic extract.

And finally, add the preservative and mix the preparation thoroughly. The Cosgard preservative effectively preserves preparations that contain an aqueous phase. It is of synthetic origin but is approved by Ecocert. For an even gentler formula, you can use Leucidal preservative, which is 100% natural in origin.

All that's left is to transfer the preparation into your bottle using a funnel, and your scented water is ready!
How to use your baby scented water
Rather than applying the product directly to your child's skin, we recommend spritzing the scented water onto their clothing. You can also spray a little onto your child's brush before combing their hair.
Tips for keeping your "Apricot and Orange Blossom" scented water at its best
To keep your "Apricot and Orange Blossom" scented water in the best condition, store it away from heat and light. If stored correctly and made under optimal hygienic conditions, it will keep for 3 months.
