Because we are convinced that the best waste and the one we do not produce, we have had to democratize the washable layer to the greatest number. But our commitment is not limited to our product offer. Every day we are working to minimize our ecological impact. We tell you everything!

Limit packaging from production

When we started the mother's adventure and Nature Baby in 2013, our suppliers sent us the merchandise that we had made in individual packaging. Very quickly, we realized the nonsense of marketing zero waste products that were themselves surrounded by waste! That's why we asked our suppliers to make an effort at the packaging and minimize them.

Today, the vast majority of our products are sent in bulk in their cardboard, with only a large plastic bag to protect the goods from moisture.

For obvious hygiene reasons, only our disposable protection veils are packaged individually. They are then filmed with each other and sent as such, allowing us to limit their weight by sticking on the cardboard.

This work in close collaboration with our suppliers, has allowed us to minimize unnecessary and non-reusable packaging.

Limit the ecological impact when production is abroad

Our suppliers are responsible for the production of our products, from A to Z. They do not pass through several factories for the different stages of their manufacture: cutting, dyeing, sewing and finishes: everything is done in the same place. When the products arrive in France, they are delivered directly at our head office, and do not pass through any intermediary.

In order to limit the transport, we have chosen to pass only a few annual orders. Our different collections are ordered in groups. They are therefore delivered at the same time in our premises and we stock them until the exit date of the model we had planned.

We also chose to focus on rail transport, less energy than the aircraft or the boat, for the recurring merchandise such as protective sails.

In addition, it must also be taken into account that some raw materials are not produced in Europe, such as cotton for example. The vast majority of global cotton production is from India or Turkey. So even producing in Europe, the impact Impact of the product is not necessarily better than an article produced outside the European Union.

For example, the production plant in our sensory line is in Turkey. Part of the products of our sensory line are made from organic cotton which is also produced in Turkey. The fabric is produced locally, then transformed also on the spot. Finally, the impact of transporting our cotton flannel slippers is limited, although they have not been produced in the EU.

Eco-responsible packaging reduces at a minimum

In order to limit our ecological impact, we have chosen to bike your orders only with recyclable, partially recycled cartons and managed forest managed, and FSC certified.

We are particularly attentive to choose packaging adapted to your order, to minimize the volume and the lost spaces.

Inside the cardboard, you will only find silk paper, your bill, a small flyer to explain how the diapers Washable, your articles, and that's all! Thus, we do not cover your useless waste bins.

We use a scotch that consists of Kraft paper and natural rubber glue. It does not contain any plastic and is made from renewable resources and is recyclable with the cardboard.

For small orders, we use recyclable bubble envelopes (paper and bubbles can be dissociated to facilitate recycling) and FSC certified. Very light, they reduce shipping costs.

More environmentally friendly delivery

Our shipments are managed by Colissimo, La Poste Service. Today, La Poste is holding the first fleet of electric vehicles in the world. In addition, it forms its factors to eco-driving, thus reducing fuel consumption and significantly reduce claims. In addition, La Poste is expanding more and more natural gas vehicles

But more environmentally friendly delivery also goes through the optimization of its vehicles. By focusing on bulk loads, Colissimo charges two to three times more packages in the same carton, reducing the number of trucks on the roads.

Since 2012, La Poste has secured the full carbon neutrality of its offers. Thus, it compensates for all its greenhouse gas emissions with projects with strong environmental and socio-economic benefits.

We also set up the Click and Collect in our premises in Grenoble. As a result, our Grenoble or Grenoble clients can go directly to recover their order and avoid useless transport.
