DIY - Effervescent Toilet Cleaning Tablets
It's entirely possible to keep your home clean using natural, eco-friendly products. And it's often wonderfully simple — you just need the right recipe! That's why, following on from our homemade dishwasher tablets, we'd like to share a recipe for making your own effervescent toilet cleaning tablets. Cleansing and antibacterial, they're very quick to make. In fact, you'll need less than ten minutes to produce a dozen tablets.

To make a dozen toilet cleaning tablets
- 6 tbsp bicarbonate of soda
- 2 tbsp citric acid
- A few drops of water
- 10 drops of lemon essential oil
- 10 drops of lemongrass essential oil
- 10 drops of lavender essential oil
- 1 ice cube tray
- 1 airtight container
- 1 fork
- A tablespoon

Method
Mix the bicarbonate of soda and citric acid together.

Then add the essential oils, continuing to stir as you go.

Next, add the water very slowly — you really only need a tiny amount, and it should be incorporated drop by drop. The water will cause the mixture to fizz, but that's exactly what we're trying to avoid. The mixture should crumble easily when rubbed.

Finally, press the mixture into your ice cube tray. Pack it down firmly with a spoon — this is important, otherwise the tablets won't hold their shape.

Leave them to set for at least 5 hours before turning them out.

Store them in an airtight container, away from light and heat.
How to use your homemade toilet tablets?
Drop one of your homemade toilet tablets into the bowl. Leave the solution to work for around twenty minutes, then scrub with your toilet brush to remove limescale. That's it — your toilet is clean and fresh!

Je cherchais justement une alternative écologique au produit traditionnel .J'utilisais déjà de l'ecover en gel liquide il me semble mais j'ai bien envie d'essayer votre recette, si on peut dire :)
