A word of caution! Make sure that the mittens are the right size so they don't squeeze their little hands. This is why we go for sizes from 0 to 12 months for newborns. If in doubt, it is advisable to go a size up.

Also, don't be shy about using them! From birth, you can put mittens on your baby at any time of day. Even whilst they sleep. And for anyone who can no longer sleep because they've forgotten a gift for this new baby, mittens could well be a great idea.
