Orange blossom cleansing micellar lotion for baby
DIY micellar lotion recipe for baby with orange blossom:
Baby cleansing lotions are often pricey, and their typically chemical composition can be quite worrying. That is why today I am sharing a budget-friendly homemade recipe you can make yourself, with very few ingredients and incredibly easy to put together. This tried-and-tested recipe from our team is sure to win you over! Wonderfully versatile, it can be used for nappy changes or to cleanse your baby's little face — and it can even be used by mum as a make-up remover. How brilliant is that?
This no-rinse micellar lotion combines the enchanting scent of orange blossom hydrosol with the power of micelles — tiny cleansing bubbles that dissolve and eliminate impurities from the skin whilst respecting its natural hydrolipidic film. Skin is cleansed in a single step. A wonderfully simple product: fragrance-free, dye-free, and free from synthetic preservatives. To be applied using a cotton washable wipe, naturally!
You will find all the ingredients and equipment needed for this recipe on the Aroma-Zone website.
On to the recipe:
To make 100 ml of micellar lotion you will need:
Mineral water: 58 ml or 58 g
Orange blossom hydrosol: 30 ml or 30 g
Concentrated micellar base: 6.5 ml or 7 g
Leucidal preservative: 2.5 ml or 90 drops
Equipment:
- A precision scale or a graduated pipette
- A 100 ml bottle with a pump dispenser. (You can recycle a bottle from a finished product — simply clean and disinfect it beforehand.)
Recipe:
1) Transfer the mineral water and hydrosol into the bottle
2) Add the concentrated micellar base, close the bottle and shake
3) Then add the preservative
4) Close the bottle and shake vigorously for a few tens of seconds
5) Your lotion is ready to use — well done!
Thanks to the preservative included in the recipe, you can keep this lotion for 3 months after making it.
