Summer savoury recipes for baby
While cooking for baby can be a pleasure, finding ideas can sometimes prove less straightforward. For this reason, the Maman et Bébé Nature team has put together 3 summer savoury recipes for baby. These ideas can easily be adapted depending on the child's age and tastes!
1. Summer savoury recipes for baby: Baby summer gazpacho (from 6 months)
Ingredients:
- 1 unsweetened baby yoghurt
- 2 tomatoes
- Basil
- Parsley
Method:
- Wash the tomatoes and remove the stalks, then cut them in half;
- Steam the tomatoes with a few basil leaves and a sprig of parsley for 15 to 20 minutes;
- Allow the tomatoes to cool slightly, then remove the skins;
- Blend everything together and add the plain yoghurt. If the mixture is too thick, add one or two spoonfuls of cooking water;
- Finally, serve cold after chilling in the fridge.
2. Summer savoury recipes for baby: sunshine purée (from 8 months)
Ingredients:
- 100g potato
- 50g aubergine
- 50g carrots
- 1 tsp hazelnut oil
- 20g veal
Method:
- First, wash, peel and chop all the vegetables;
- Steam for 20 to 30 minutes, until the vegetables are tender;
- Add the veal, diced into small pieces, 10 minutes before the vegetables finish cooking;
- Finally, pass the vegetables and meat through a food mill to obtain a purée with a few soft lumps;
- Add the hazelnut oil and stir everything together (add cooking water if the texture is too thick).
3. Artichoke, sweetcorn and salmon delight (from 8 months)
Ingredients:
- 100g artichoke hearts
- 60g sweetcorn
- A few diced pieces of salmon
- 1 tsp olive oil
Method:
- First, cook the artichoke hearts with the sweetcorn for 15 minutes;
- Meanwhile, pan-fry the salmon skin-side down in a little fat;
- Check the salmon is cooked through and add to the vegetables;
- Finally, blend everything together, adding the teaspoon of olive oil.
