Why use Epsom salt in your bath salts?
Epsom salt is rich in magnesium, which relaxes the muscles and helps you unwind. It also revitalises and energises the skin.
Why use lavender essential oil in your bath salts?
Lavender essential oil is recommended for relieving muscle tension, rheumatism, and cramps. It also helps to reduce anxiety and stress. And it smells absolutely wonderful!
Method for making your homemade lavender bath salts
Pour the dry ingredients (Epsom salt, fine salt, and cornflour) directly into the container you will use to store your bath salts. This way you can make exactly the right quantity.
Next, place the coconut oil in the bowl and stir it until it liquefies.

Then gradually add the dry ingredients and mix them into the oil.

Add the food colouring and the true lavender essential oil. Give everything a good stir!

Finally, add the dried lavender flowers and fold them into your mixture. Stir once more so that everything is evenly distributed!

All that is left is to transfer the mixture into your container — your homemade lavender bath salts are ready!

How to use your homemade bath salts
Fill your bath with water at 37°C, then add your bath salts. To enjoy all the benefits, stay in the bath for around 20 minutes so that your pores are fully open and your skin can absorb the various minerals and trace elements. Afterwards, wash as usual and do not forget to moisturise with a moisturising cream.
