How to effectively remove nappy stains from baby's clothes?
This is a question many parents ask themselves when it comes to laundry care… How to effectively remove nappy stains from baby's clothes?
It has to be said that these little ones don't make it easy for us! So we need to arm ourselves with tricks and, more often than not, a good deal of elbow grease to tackle the mess. But not always… let's look at a few solutions together!
Sunlight
No, this isn't about lazing about with a cold drink sunbathing… though that does sound tempting! Because with this quick and effective trick, you should be back to your other activities in no time. To effectively remove nappy stains from baby's clothes, nothing could be simpler:
- First, rinse the stain under water and rub to remove the worst of it;
- You can also add a little Marseille soap*, which is highly effective against soiling;
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and then leave the garment to dry in the sun;
- You can then put it in the washing machine to get a baby garment looking as good as new!
* Make sure you choose genuine Marseille soap, without added glycerine, so as not to clog your washable diapers.
Ox gall
100% natural, ox gall soap is an essential product for baby's laundry care! This fabric stain remover is highly effective. It works even on the most stubborn stains. It can also be used in combination with sodium percarbonate for a powerhouse stain-removing duo!
Stain-removing powder as a way to effectively remove nappy stains
There are a great many products on the market. We particularly recommend Vanish powder. That said, other laundry care powders can be very effective too!
And what else…
You may also have a few old-fashioned laundry cleaning tips up your sleeve. But do they actually work for effectively removing nappy stains? That's far from certain!
We suggest you also try Sommières earth, which is simply a type of natural clay. Economical and eco-friendly, you simply leave it to work on the stain for 1 to 3 hours.
Also, washing-up liquid can be a good alternative if you have nothing else to hand. It simply needs to be combined with white vinegar for a more complete result.
So, which trick have you already tried for removing stains from your child's clothes?
