Care & cleaning

Here are some washing and maintenance tips to help you take care of your washable diapers and inserts.

Before using your washable diapers

Receiving your package, it will be necessary to wash the diapers a first time before using them, without soaking them (this is useless for the diapers). A washing at 30 ° even in short cycle is sufficient for this first washing. The important thing is to use a laundry that does not crash and do not use softeners.

Running inserts

Regarding the inserts, this is different, indeed the microfiber inserts reach their maximum absorption rate than after 10 to 15 washes. Which means that if you start using the inserts from the first wash it will be necessary to expect some leaks.

For microfiber inserts, a "break-in" is necessary: so that they become ultra absorbent the fibers that are inside must become water several times before reaching an optimum absorption rate. The absorption capacity of the inserts improves over the washes. Regarding bamboo and microfiber inserts you can also provide a break-in time to improve their absorption capacity as they are composed of a microfiber heart located inside bamboo thicknesses.

We advise you for the first washes of your inserts to let them soak each time between 1 to 2 hours, then to wring them and to dry them (in the sun if the weather allows it). If baby has not yet arrived you can enjoy it to start the break-in of your inserts.

- a first short cycle wash at 30 ° maximum with 1/3 laundry, which will remove the stool and the urine, with a spin at 1200 turns

- a second long-cycle wash at 40 ° C or 60 ° C occasionally with a laundry dose, which will clean the fibers in depth, with a spin at 1200 turns.
